Founded in 1977. Still family-owned.
For 49 years, GC Controls has been building electronic and electromechanical assemblies for customers across industrial, instrumentation, and automotive markets, out of the same upstate New York town.
Hiram Gilbert, 1977.
The company was founded in 1977 by Hiram Gilbert, an electrical engineer who built GC Controls around the idea that a small American contract manufacturer could deliver precision electronic assembly at a fair price: on time, competitively priced, built right.
That principle still frames the mission today: quality workmanship of electronic and electromechanical assemblies, on time, competitively priced.
25,000 sq ft in Greene, NY.
We operate out of a 25,000 sq ft facility at 1408 County Road 2, Greene, NY 13778. Three SMT lines, multiple wave solder machines, MIRTEC AOI, harness and cable stations, and in-house engineering for custom test fixtures all share the same floor.
That keeps feedback loops short. The engineer who builds a fixture can walk over to the line running the assembly that needs it.
Led by Dan Snowberger.
